Halal Vitamin D2 is a type of vitamin manufactured through chemical synthesis. As a synthesized chemical, this food Vitamin is general recognized as halal. Ergocalciferol is vitamin D2. vitamin D2 is important for the absorption of calcium from the stomach and for the functioning of calcium in the body. Ergocalciferol is used to treat hypoparathyroidism (decreased functioning of the parathyroid glands).

-Rennet (All forms should be avoided except for plant, microbial and synthetic rennet, as well as rennet obtained from Halal slaughtered animals)

-Stock (mixed species broth or meat stock)

-Tallow (non-Halal species)

-Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and certain other animals

-Foods contaminated with any of the above products.
