Vitamin A is used as an antioxidant and dietary supplement that can protect against cancer and cardio-vascular disease. Vitamin A mainly has two forms, Vitamin A Palmitate and Vitamin A Acetate. Vitamin A Acetate is a light yellow free-flowing microcapsule. Vitamin A Acetate is used to direct compression and hard capsule or used for fortification of food, beverage, etc. Vitamin A Palmitate, is a cold water dispersible version of Vitamin A that is stabilized with BHA and BHT. It is recommended for effervescent and coated tablet and hard-shell capsules. Vitamin A Palmitate is used for the fortification of dry food products, including flour, dry milk and beverage powders, and water-based foods.
