  • Price trend
  • Aspartame price trend & market analysis

The main raw materials to produce aspartame are L-Aspartic Acid and L-Phenylalanine. This two raw materials are stable. The liquid raw materials are Acetic Anhydride, Hydrochloric Acid, NaOH…The price is slightly increasing, almost in May, the price of Acetic Anhydride always go up.
With the high pressure from environment protetion, the production of almost every factory is reduced, and some manufacturer even do not produce due to environment issue or other reasons.
We estimate the supply in the market may decrease 3, 000MT per year since Sep, 2017.
China Aspartame export quantity is around 18, 000MT to worldwide, the main market is US and South America, together take half of the market. The Europe aspartame import quantity from China decreases much due to anti-dumping duty, which is 55%-58%.
We think maybe aspartame price will go up in Q4, 2017.
